"I lost my first one and while I waited for the ratchet style extender to come back in stock, I purchased one, within 24 hours of getting I used it multiple time, and now i cant wait to get the ratchet style extender and use them both when needed, great add on to a multitool."
Great peice to have
"Very nice having this extension. Gets that extra length needed and gets the bulk of the tool out of the way fir some of those tighter spots. Dont have to worry about the bit falling out with the i ternal magnet. Wish the extender would install and stay in the tool a little more firm but habent had a problem with loosing it yet."

Does the job but sighttool is better
"If you get one of these as a present or something, you can be thankful. It's a good device! But even though the "sight adjuster" is meant for rifle sights, its just better than this one. The magnet seems stronger. The build quality feels more solid (which is odd because I think they're the same metal?) I wouldn't recommend this for anybody who pocket-carries, but if you need a sheath for your work or something its probably worth tossing it in one of the accessory holders. Why not give yourself some added functionality?"

"The Leatherman Bit Extender has undergone a design change to accommodate the magnetic retention capabilities. Consequently, the knurling is much shorter on the new version, which can be seen as detrimental to the usability for some buyers. Leatherman should update the photo to reflect the new design. . . it's misleading and reflects laziness from the marketing team."
