The premium 154CM stainless steel straight-edge blade has a great balance of corrosion resistance and toughness. But, of course, it’s more than just a knife. "I've had it for two weeks or so. The knife is good. The plyer works. I'm optimistic, but considering the Wave I bought a few years ago which was terrible quality I don't know who produced the steel but it was terrible, let's see. I'm a cattle farmer so it's going to be used a lot. By the way, you should market the skeletool to cowboys. It's exactly what we need which is why I got it. All I need is a good knife, a pliers which can cut barbed wire and a screwdriver. Brilliant little thing I love it"

"This is my 3rd Skeletool. Very good small tool that you barely notice that its there, in your pocket. One thing that i don't see any use of is the pocket clip. I carry it upside down in my jeans pocket, through the carabiner clip, fits and stays well hidden, deep inside the pocket. I think Leatherman hit the nail with this one."

"I have several leathermans and 1 victorinox. While the skeletool lacks in number of tools, it delivers in ease of carry, and the tools it has are the most used. The only tool I missed in it is the package opener that I have on my T4, the knife fills the spot, but I don't like messing with its sharpness just to cut packages open."

Excellent light carry product and excellent service

"So this is my second Skeletool CX that I'm sent. The jaws in the pliers were skewed out of the box. But with the great team at Leatherman arranged for me to get an replacement, even for me in my northern location of Iceland. Leatherman treats all their customers equally and with respect, and their warranty is rock solid. Thanks to Sherri, Elizabeth and Emma for their assistance. The Skeletool CX is the minimalistic light EDC pocket carry I was missing to complement my Surge and Arc that I carry daily in a sheath. The Skeletool is my choice when I want to carry without a sheath or all the extra tools I usually carry (bits, ratchets etc. ). And the CX has a solid blade straight blade and a couple of bits for to save a situation which you couldnt without a trusty multitool. Leatherman are excellent and proven products that I've bought 6 different kinds for me and my family, and my wife even bought 83 Wingmen for company giveaway. A must have EDC for a good day, and especially important for a day of challenge."
