"I bough a sidekick and it is good quality and it is made well but after 2 years it started falling apart. first the screwdrivers came loose then the pocket clip came loose, and it falls out of my pocket very often. so i sent it to awesome tools and it took 3 months to get it back and then they charged me 150rand for the service even though i did not select it. right now it is gone for its second repair."

"While the Skeltool will always be my top pick, I recently bought a Sidekick to add to my EDC. Fits perfectly in the Ainsworth holster, but more than that, it has a serrated blade as well as a great little sawblade. I also like the needle nose pilers as well. I think my Sidekick is going to be a valuable addition to my Leatherman collection."

"(Note: I've recently inherited quite a few tools and accessories after the passing of a dear friend who was very much a collector and often left his tools and knives unopened. Expect MANY reviews from me in the next few days. ) My review of this closely mirros my review of the Wingman which is fair because, well, the TOOL closely mirrors the Wingman. The main difference is that the Sidekick has a SAW instead of scissors and. . . well, scissors come up much more often for my usecases than a saw. I live in an urban/suburban environment, and my Wingman/Sidekick tools are JIK drawer-stash for the office, the glovebox, etc. One thing I REALLY like about it compared to the Wingman is that it has a straight non-serrated blade instead of the combo blade. Much eaiser to keep sharp, and obviously something that makes a lot of sense with a serrated saw RIGHT THERE. I've put the Sidekick in my dashbox because I can see the saw being MAYBE more useful than scissors for road repair. I think of saws as Leatherman saws being tools for maintanence or (hopefully light) camping uses and, honestly, the Sidekick (and Wingman) aren't really robust enough for that to be a regular case. If you only want one tool, in the Sidekick/Wingman price range, and you need a saw. . . get the Sidekick. If you're a regular urban/suburban EDC-er (or you have multipool tools for different things), maybe get the Wingman instead."

"Ive carried several of these over the years. The sidekick carries exactly the tools i want without being to bulky. The only thing i dont seem to use on the daily is the little ring thing. The only change i would make would be to make the blades out of better steel, (thats the only reason i gave it "good" quality instead of excellent). If youre handy with a sharpener its no big deal"
"I work in property management as a maintenance technician AKA "handyman". I have had my sidekick for 8 years, bought second hand. I have used it about 4 years as a maintenance worker, and I don't think a day goes by that I don't use it. I have no complaints, although I did have to replace the pocket clip once and the tip of the knife recently broke when I used it as a pry tool, I am interested in the new ARC model, but not sure if it is necessary yet, the sidekick ROCKS as a great all around multi. ."
