"Feels rugged and premium—exactly what you expect from a Leatherman. It’s clearly built to last. The only downside I noticed is with the pliers on the Leatherman ARC (Talos); they don’t fully close, leaving a tiny gap, so grabbing hair-thin items isn’t really possible. I didn’t experience this at all with my Leatherman Charge+ TTi, so it seems specific to this unit. Probably just a minor defect, and honestly not a deal breaker. Big shoutout to everyone who worked on this masterpiece—we love it."

A Step Backward in Quality: ARC vs. Free P2

"I specifically ordered the ARC directly from the US leatherman. com website because the customer service of the official Hungarian distributor is a disaster—they are arrogant and completely unhelpful. However, I am quite disappointed with the quality control on this highly anticipated flagship model. First, the "Leatherman USA" engraving on one side of the pliers head is almost completely polished/ground off right out of the box, which is aesthetically very frustrating for a premium tool. Second, there is a noticeable amount of play (wobble) between the handles, which sometimes makes the locking mechanism clumsy and difficult to engage properly. I also own a Leatherman Free P2, and the overall precision, fit, and finish of that older tool are far superior to this new ARC. I have 3 more Leatherman tool and they are way better than this one. For a top-tier model at this price point, I expected a much higher standard of manufacturing and quality control."

"I have been using Leatherman since 2017 , never failed me once , I have Leatherman Surge, Leatherman M. U. T. , Leatherman CHARGE TTI and as I was thinking to buy Leatherman Signal . . . . I just saw the new Leatheman ARC and bought it in an instant . I have customize it with Initials and imprints and I am pleased with my choice and the quality of this customized engravings . About the tool Until now I used only the screwdriver for a quick job on my car and the scissors and the blade on my bowhunt trip . Very pleased with handling this tool , OHT is very good and it feel solid in my hand . Comparing it to Surge and M. U. T. I would say it has best from both . Now what I bought it for : 1 - I do motorcycle riding 2 - I bowhunt 3- Occasional I am sailing 4 - Spearfishing and Diving sometimes 5 - It is easier to EDC than Surge or Charge 6 - Good For Mountaineering, Hiking, Climbing I will test it more and do a video review after I will put this tool through the test. What would I add to this tool ? A fast line cutter like on M. U. T."

"It’s rare these days to find ”USA” stamped into the steel of a tool, not just printed on the box. 🇺🇸 I picked up the new Leatherman ARC in Talos bronze for exactly that reason. Unlike most gear today, the heart of this beast, from the MagnaCut blade to the plier head itself, is manufactured right in the States. It feels like a return to the good old days when American Made meant it was built to outlast you. Perfect as it is

"intalled some mods on int cordura skin, thumb grips with tritium vials , wire cutter damasteel titanium thumb grip for the magnacut blade and a integreted flashligth, no need on any of those but looks way better imo, stays 24/7 on my desk, last task i used for, i disassemble a mini split on my house for maintenance. i do recomend also get the complete bit kit, bit extender and the wrench."
