Our goal is to make the best folding knife possible by using the greatest amount of found resources from the factory. The final product uses 26 parts and includes an innovative interchangeable blade system. Make the knife suitable to your situation and get the most in versatility with the Batch #003: PARTS multipurpose tool. Switch out the work blade with a standard everyday carry (aka EDC) blade, so you can adapt to whatever you need in the moment. The selection of materials, intentional design, and evolved ergonomics give you comfort, confidence, and functionality throughout your day. The blade is simple and easy-to-launch and is operable from a slim, lightweight frame. The G10 handle scales feel and look good and are built to last, just like every product Leatherman creates.

Strong EDC knife

"This knife is a great EDC carry, because it is stronger than most everyday tools. Couple odd quirks, but that's why its a garage tool. The one-hand open is nice, and the blade is one of my sharper ones. Has a really balanced feeling, and additionally the change out blade provides another option for work-based use. Just be careful were you keep it tho, couple times I've put it in my jeans or cleaned it with my shirt and the dye has rubbed off on the white handle, washes out nice but still a little inconveniet. Excellent knife overall. Leatherman should make more!"

I like it!

"This release disappointed many fans of Leatherman Multitools. I was skeptical about it too, but it grows on me. I like how it feels in my hand, how it operates ( it doesn’t have spring assisted opening but opens easily with help of thumb stud), I like the color. I don’t think it was created to be battoned on to the wood logs at the campsite , iykwim, but strong enough to be a trail companion. Actually with the color scheme it’ll better suit the concrete jungle cowboy ;)"

The knife I have waited for

"I have always wanted a Leatherman knife. Like a legit…. edc knife. I’m a Benchmade Bugout man, so replacing that rig in my pocket is no easy task. Their knife has many of the qualities I find advantageous about my Bugout. Ergonomics, light weight, ease of operation, etc. and having the ability to switch out my blade for a different profile is very handy. I personally love this knife. I carry it every day."

"I collect Leatherman quality multitools. I used them at work for years and now I get to pull them out of my collection to look at every part of every tool. The Batch #003 is not complete. Tim Leatherman will assess this situation before long and offer the balance of the parts that will make this complete and make the naysayers eat their words. This multipurpose tool represents our problem-solving spirit and features 26 parts found in the factory and includes an interchangeable blade system.
PARTS represents the problem-solving spirit of the Garage. We set out to make the best folder we could by utilizing the greatest amount of found resources from our Portland, OR. factory. 26 parts in all. The interchangeable blade allows the user to make the knife suitable for all occasions by switching out the work blade to a standard EDC blade. The selection of materials and intentional design gives the user confidence in using it throughout the day.
