"Good very basic multi-tool. I like that it has a pocket clip, a carabiner, and is lightweight. Size and weight are good for pocket carry. The blade is very small. Wish it had a can opener."
"As like many I have several Leatherman Multi-tools but I have been using this tool for many years for most of my needs. 3 of the regularly used tools a king of less is more sort of thing. Very comfortable carry in my pocket"
"This is one of the best tools to have on or near you at all times. Granted I don't always have it with me so I understand what it feels like when I don't have it. I wish it had a hex head as one of the items and that really is my only issue with it."
"Everyday carry for years, lost years ago. Should have replaced it but knew it was around here somewhere. Found outdoors today pushed into dirt. Survived several Wisconsin winters. Sprayed with penetrating oil, wiped with rag. Good as new."
"I mentioned a friend that I wanted to test-run the combo blade on the original Skeletool, since I'm such a fan of the Skeletool CX so he loaned (and eventully gifted) me a shiny green one to try out for a few weeks. . After EDCing it for a few weeks. . . the straight-blade is better for my use case. But that's not a dig on the tool! My friend (whose job requires him to cut actual rope occasionally) finds the serrations on the combo-blade very useful. I had no trouble keeping it sharp, either. As I said in my CX review, if it had a scissors and a deeper pocket clip would be perfect. As it stands its still a really nice carry for when I don't think my little keychain-size will do the trick. Basically a replacement for a medium-sized pocketknife, with the pocket-space of a slightly large pocket knife."
"Wire cutter cant cut anything. Bought for flyfishing. Tried cutting 80,60,40,30,25lb floro/mono line - no success. Multi Strand Wire tippet 40lbs. Complete waste of money. Get a Victorinox Spirit!"
"If all you want is a lightweight pliers, the easy access blade & a carabineer clip/bottle opener. . . then it's nice. Otherwise. . . . The screwdriver would've worked if the tips & their storage had been done differently. One of those things that affects the comfort of grip."
"In a way it's my fault for not considering the direction that the knife opens. But for right handed carry ( which the curve of the tool and side of the pocket clip suggests it's intended for) the knife opens forward with the tip up. So instead of tip up opening backwards so the back of the pocket keeps it closed, it will and already has opened into my pocket the 1st day after receiving the tool in the mail. It's still a well made tool and I do like it quite a lot otherwise. I'm not sure that I'll be carrying it as intended and might actually send it back because I bought it with the sole intention of it replacing my edc knife."
